Three Days and Three Nights

Jesus declared that the only sign He would give of His Messiahship was that He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, a prophecy that cannot be fulfilled by a Friday crucifixion and Sunday-morning resurrection. Historical and scriptural evidence shows that Christ died on a Wednesday afternoon and rose late on the weekly Sabbath, completely undermining the later tradition that moved worship to Sunday. Understanding this sign removes every biblical justification for abandoning the seventh-day Sabbath and confirms that God’s commanded day of rest remains unchanged.
