So You Think You’re a Good Person

Scripture declares that the human heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, and even Jesus refused the title “good,” reserving it for God alone. Paul’s honest confession that he still struggled with the sin dwelling in his flesh reminds every believer that no one is inherently good. Hope lies solely in the fact that while we were still sinners Christ died for us, and God is looking not for perfect people but for humble ones through whom He can work.
