God’s calling is an invitation from the Father to come out of this world, understand His plan of salvation, repent, receive His Holy Spirit, and ultimately inherit immortal life in His family. The Greek word for church, ekklesia, means “called-out ones,” emphasizing that believers are summoned for a holy purpose and must separate from the world’s uncleanness. This calling is entirely God’s initiative; He determines who is drawn and when, and those who respond by loving Him and keeping His commandments can claim the promise that all things work together for good.
