Betrayal

Barney Rehm - March 28, 2026

Betrayal is one of the most devastating sins in Scripture, striking at the heart of every covenant relationship—whether between family members, friends, or between man and God. Its roots lie in the three fundamental temptations of 1 John 2:16: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, each of which overrides love for God and loyalty to His law. As Passover approaches, believers are called to examine their hearts carefully, repent of any disloyalty, and ensure that they are not themselves becoming betrayers of the One who gave His life for them.
