One of Satan’s tactics to lure people away from the truth of God is influential people. One example is Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, the first king of the House of Israel. Jeroboam allowed fear and human reasoning to lead him into creating a counterfeit worship system that led Israel into sin. We need to be aware of and reject Satan’s subtle counterfeits and the customs of the world. Rather, we need to live by every word of God.
