Living Sacrifices

On the Day of Atonement, believers are reminded that reconciliation with God requires not only the sacrifice Christ has already made, but also the living sacrifice of their own lives in response to His mercy. Romans 12 calls Christians to present their bodies as holy and acceptable offerings, rejecting conformity to the world and being transformed by the renewing of their minds. Freewill offerings such as fasting, devotion, and the daily surrender of personal desires deepen the relationship with God and express gratitude for the atonement already accomplished.
